Seneca Falls police arrested a man from Auburn following a domestic disturbance.
Authorities say Justin Helmick was involved in a physical altercation with a victim and allegedly prevented the victim from contacting 911 during the incident. Police also report that Helmick entered the residence of a friend of the victim after she left the scene in an effort to separate herself from him.
An active Class B order of protection was in place between the two parties at the time of the incident.
Helmick faces multiple charges, including two counts of criminal contempt in the first degree, one count of burglary in the second degree, and two counts of criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
