A 23-year-old Auburn man has been reported in connection with a stolen vehicle case stemming from a June traffic stop.
Kaya Frazier was taken into custody on July 27 and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.
Deputies say the case began on June 10, when they pulled over a pickup truck on Beech Tree Road in the Town of Aurelius. Frazier was a passenger in the vehicle at the time. The driver was issued traffic tickets and released.
A few days later, the truck’s owners discovered it had been stolen and had also been involved in a crash. Investigators obtained arrest warrants for the occupants of the vehicle.
Frazier was arraigned in CAP Court and released on his own recognizance.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
