Auburn Man Charged With Felony Following Domestic Incident

SHARE NOW

An Auburn man was charged with felony aggravated family offense following the investigation into a reported verbal domestic incident in the city of Auburn.

Upon arrival at the North Seward Avenue residence, officers spoke with witnesses who had recorded the incident. They learned that a man and a woman were arguing in front of a residence. Through the investigation, it was learned that the man, Michael Abdelady, had allegedly violated a full stay-away order of protection issued out of Auburn City Court. Abdelady is accused of engaging in a verbal altercation with the victim. His car was located nearby, and officers initiated a traffic stop. Abdelady was taken into custody without incident.

Abdelady was taken to the Auburn Police Department headquarters, where he was processed. He was then taken to Cayuga County Jail and held pending arraignment.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
