The investigation into a parked car found running in the parking lot of an Owasco Street store in the city of Auburn resulted in the arrest of an Auburn man.
When a deputy from the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office approached the vehicle, he found 26-year-old Alexander Carbonaro slumped over in the driver’s seat. Following an investigation, Carbonaro was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Carbonaro was transported from the scene to the Cayuga County Public Safety Building for processing. According to the Sheriff’s Office, he provided a breath sample of 0.18 percent, which resulted in the charge of aggravated DWI.
Carbonaro was released on an appearance ticket for Auburn City Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
