An Auburn man faces charges after an early morning incident in Sennett.
Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck says 25-year-old Nyasia Spencer was arrested on August 1st after deputies responded to a trespass complaint around 5 a.m.
Investigators say Spencer attempted to enter a home by opening a door, but was scared off by someone inside. He’s also accused of damaging a vehicle nearby by hitting it with a skateboard.
Spencer is charged with attempted criminal trespass and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. He was released on appearance tickets and is due in Sennett Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
