An Auburn man was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on criminal contempt charges.
On February 5th, the protected party of a full stay away Order of Protection issued by Auburn City Court reported that her child’s father, James Geer, III, had allegedly called her phone and left her voicemails violating an Order of Protection. Upon investigation, Geer was arrested for criminal contempt.
Following his arraignment, Geer was sent to Cayuga County Jail in lieu of bail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
