A reported robbery on Clark Street in the city of Auburn resulted in the arrest of an Auburn man.
As officers were en route to the residence they were advised the suspect, later identified as Zackary Harvey, left the residence after 911 was called. Officers were able to locate and detain Harvey before responding to the scene to speak with the victims. An investigation determined that a domestic dispute occurred at the residence and a knife was used to threaten the victims to forcibly take a purse. Officers were advised that after a physical altercation and a failed attempt to forcibly take the purse, Harvey fled the scene.
Harvey was charged with attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies and misdemeanor menacing.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
