SHARE NOW

Police arrested an Auburn man after he allegedly threatened two trash collectors employed by the city with a knife.

Police say the incident happened just before 10 Friday morning in the area of 145 Wall Street. Frederick Stormes, Junior, is accused of threatening the two workers after taking issue with the way they discarded his garbage can. The 65-year-old is also accused of following the workers down the street and confronting them about being disrespectful. Soon after, police say Stormes pulled a knife on the two men.

Stormes was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of misdemeanor menacing.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
