An Auburn man is facing charges for allegedly lying to law enforcement.
According to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, at around 12:20a last Thursday, deputies observed a suspicious vehicle at the Grant Avenue Plaza in Sennett while on patrol. While investigating, Hayden Powers is accused of providing deputies with a false name and date of birth after being warned of the consequences of lying.
Once deputies confirmed his true identity, the 26-year-old was taken into custody for False Personation. Powers was released on an appearance ticket for Sennett Town Court on April 3.
