An Arcadia man was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office on multiple warrants.
Anthony Santiago was arrested following a traffic stop investigation that occurred in Monroe County where it was discovered he had warrants issued for his arrest. It is alleged that on May 7th, Santiago was parked in the roadway and driving while intoxicated in the town of Arcadia. On the same date, it is also alleged that Santiago was in possession of a switchblade knife.
Santiago was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for further processing before being transported to Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment before the presiding Judge.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
