The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Town of Arcadia man following a domestic incident over the weekend.
Deputies say 54-year-old Joseph Parsons III was arrested Sunday after an investigation into an incident that took place the day before on Route 88. According to investigators, Parsons was involved in an argument with the victim and allegedly placed his hands on her neck, preventing her from breathing.
He was charged with one count of criminal obstruction of breathing and taken into custody.
Parsons was held for CAP Court and is scheduled to appear in Arcadia Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
