The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Arcadia man following a domestic incident that resulted in injuries and significant property damage.
31-year-old Jarvis Knight was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with assault in the third degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, and criminal tampering in the third degree.
According to deputies, Knight was involved in a physical altercation with a family member at his residence. He allegedly struck the victim and knocked them to the ground, causing injuries to their right arm.
Knight is also accused of causing extensive damage inside the home—pushing over a refrigerator, damaging drywall, and pulling out multiple kitchen drawers, spilling their contents onto the floor.
He was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and taken to the Wayne County Jail, where he awaits arraignment in CAP Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
