The Steuben County Sheriff’s SWAT team, working with the City of Corning Police Department, executed a search warrant at a West First Street residence in Corning on Friday. The action was part of the ongoing investigation into a bank robbery that occurred in Addison on August 22.

During the search, deputies recovered an AR-style pellet rifle, a pellet pistol, a vehicle, cash, and several phones. 30-year-old Dominick Bova was arrested at the scene.

Authorities allege Bova robbed a financial institution in Addison while displaying what appeared to be a firearm. Over the past two weeks, investigators conducted dozens of interviews, reviewed more than 100 tips, and analyzed footage from multiple cameras, which led to Bova’s identification as the alleged robber.

Bova faces several charges, including Robbery in the First Degree (Class B Felony), Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (Class D Felony), Criminal Coercion in the First Degree (Class D Felony), and Menacing in the Second Degree. He is being held for arraignment, and additional charges are expected.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard expressed his gratitude to the community members who provided tips and video, as well as the Village of Addison Police Department, City of Corning Police Department, New York State Police, and the FBI for their assistance in the investigation.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
