A Rochester woman is facing charges after deputies say she was caught shoplifting in Victor.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that 20-year-old Kanene Mathis was taken into custody on Friday after a larceny complaint at Von Maur. Investigators say Mathis allegedly passed all points of sale without paying for $304 worth of merchandise.
She was released and is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
