The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says an Albion man was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 104 in the Town of Huron.
Deputies say 28-year-old Felix Rita was pulled over after failing to dim his headlights. During the stop, deputies noted signs of intoxication and conducted field sobriety tests. Rita allegedly refused a roadside breath test and later declined to provide a chemical breath sample at the Sheriff’s Office.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to dim headlights.
Rita was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Huron Town Court at a later date.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
