A Lyons man was arrested Monday following an investigation into a motor vehicle crash in Wayne County.
When deputies arrived on the scene of the crash in Lyons, they reported Shawn Rahn was attempting to flee the scene on foot. After apprehending him, deputies observed Rhan display impaired motor skills, glassy eyes, and slurred speech and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Rahn refused to perform field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with refusal to submit to a breath screening test, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely.
Rahn was brought to Wayne County Jail to await arraignment
