Two residents of Paterson, New Jersey, along with a Queens, New York man are accused of working in concert together to steal a wallet from a purse at the Walmart store in Victor.
Once the trio had stolen the wallet, they allegedly attempted make purchases at Eastview Mall with the victim’s credit and debit cards. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to stop 27-year-old Karina Echegaray-Polo and 33-year-old Jose Alberto-Ortiz Pariona, of Paterson, New Jersey, and 28-year-old Josue Albert Fernandez, of Queens in the parking lot of Eastview Mall and take them into custody.
It was later determined that the three were involved with several organized larcenies in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, where they were fugitives from justice.
Following arraignment, all three were sent to Ontario County Jail.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
