A Lyons man was arrested on charges of assault and petit larceny following an investigation into a disturbance in the town of Lyons.
The charges against 21-year-old Marquest Horton stem from an incident in which it is alleged he approached a person over the age of 65 and punched them before he pushed the victim to the ground and then stole a case of beer.
The victim suffered undisclosed injuries.
Horton was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the New York State Police.
