A man has been arrested for stealing over $6,000 in property from people staying at the Auburn Holiday Inn.
The alleged thefts occurred at around 12:30 last Friday morning. Auburn Police were able to identify the suspect as Travis Ryan, who returned to the Holiday Inn on Sunday. Police were alerted and after a brief foot pursuit, Ryan was taken into custody on felony charges of burglary and grand larceny, as well as misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Ryan was sent to Cayuga County Jail to await CAP arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
