An 18-year-old from the town of Lyons and two juveniles are facing criminal charges in Wayne County.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on December 29, David Williams III and some juveniles got into a physical altercation with another person. The victim suffered injuries to his head and faces. It is alos alleged that during the incident, two of the juveniles took the victim’s backpack and shoes. A second incident happened later in the evening where the two juveniles allegedly threatened the victim with knifes.
Williams was charged with assault and ordered to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date. The two juveniles were charged with robbery, assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. They are being adjudicated through the juvenile justice system.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
