The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Village of Sodus man following an investigation into allegations of domestic incident, which occurred February 16th, 2023.
Deputies arrested James E. Wright Jr, age 26, of Sergeant Street in the Village of Sodus for the charges of Assault in the second degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, obstruction of governmental administration, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
It is alleged that Wright kicked in a door to an apartment in the Town of Huron and entered the residence. Once police responded to the residence, Wright physically resisted the officers, all in the presence of two young children. During the physical altercation with the police, a Sheriff’s Deputy was injured.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the New York State Police.
Wright were transported to the Wayne County Jail where they will be arraigned in CAP court on February 16th, 2023, at 07:00pm.
