10 Seneca County Residents Arrested for Welfare Fraud

During March, investigators with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested close to a dozen residents in connection to Welfare Fraud investigations. Sheriff Timothy Thompson said investigators worked closely with the county’s Department of Human Services and identified almost a dozen residents who had allegedly fraudulently obtained public assistance benefits. As a result, investigators have charged the following people:

Benyamina F. Fox, age 46 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the third degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Jessica G. Campbell, age 42 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Jennifer L. Heitmann, age 41 of Waterloo, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud 3rd and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Patricia M. Barner, age 28 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Yupawan Georgiadis, age 47 of Interlaken, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Kaylee E. Millerd, age 38 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Ashton N. Finocchario, age 36 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Cinnamon S. Doane, age 52 of Ovid, NY, has been charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Cassidy A. Skillo, age 26 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Welfare Fraud in the fourth degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

Karen A. Frederick, age 61 of Seneca Falls, NY, has been charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Welfare Fraud in the third degree and Misuse of Food Stamps.

All of the individuals are scheduled to appear at the Waterloo Town Court to answer the charges. Also, all are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
