About Larry Timko
Larry came back home after spending 22 years on the air south of The Mason Dixon Line. A graduate of Batavia High School (Class of 92) Larry moved to Atlanta to take over afternoon Drive duties on WMLB, from there he moved to Florida and spent 20 years on air in the afternoons on WIKX Kix Country.
In 2004 Larry gained national recognition when he was on air when Hurricane Charley hit and ripped the roof off the building. That resulted in a Marconi Award and a finalist for the Governor's Cup.
In 2005 Larry hosted the Iheart syndicated “Down Home Cookin’ with Larry T.”, an Americana program that featured in studio appearances with Roseanne Cash, Marty Stuart, Rodney Crowell and upcoming acts in the Roots, Bluegrass & Americana genre.
Since then, Larry has interviewed thousands of personalities ranging from the music, entertainment and sports industries.
Larry joined the Finger Lakes Radio group family in March of 2021.
