About Ken & Woody

SO WHO ARE KEN & WOODY ANYWAY?

Ken

Ever since Ken Paradise was a small boy, he only wanted to do one thing, eat ice cream and play with his toys. But as he grew older, he knew to succeed in life, he would need to go to a fine university and get a high paying job.

Instead, he attended a two year community college and persued a career in broadcasting. Ken has lived and worked in the Finger Lakes his whole life. He began his radio career at the legendary 1240 WGVA in 1984. He's hosted or cohosted morning shows on WNYR 98.5, The WALL Morning Jolt with Rich Stevens, The Morning Mess with Tiffany Collinsworth on Country 101.7 and The Ken and Woody Show weekday mornings on 101.7 The WALL. You can also hear his community college trained voice weekday afternoons on Classic Hits 99.3.

Ken has one child, Adam, two grandchildren, Anthony and Elizabeth, and no pets.

Woody

Woody grew up in Medina, NY and started his radio career in the late 1990s at Fredonia State University, broadcasting on their college radio stations, 89.5FM WDVL and 88.9FM WCVF.

After graduating from Fredonia, Woody moved to Rochester and worked at various classic and modern rock radio stations, for over 12 years, broadcasting on the air, as well as doing commercial voice overs and production work.

Woody and his family moved to Canandaigua in the summer of 2017 and a year later, in September of 2018, he became a “Wall Nut,” as he joined the team at 101.7 The Wall, in Geneva.  In November of that same year, Woody began his ongoing collaboration with Ken Paradise…the two of them having fun while working together as co-hosts of the morning show on The Wall.

When Woody’s not telling corny jokes and spinning rock songs on the air, he is enjoying good times with his wonderful family, playing drums with two rock bands in the Finger Lakes and Rochester areas (Moving Mountains and Extended Family), cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and singing to his cats (and the cats are sure he’s a better drummer than a singer).  Shut Up and Rock!
