Jim

Jims Life has always revolved around music and radio.  Having a dad with a master's degree in music education, becoming a musician was a given.  When he wasn't spending hours playing the drums (and later guitar) he'd be sitting next to his cassette boom box ready to record his favorite song off the air.  As such, it seemed only natural that he'd end up working at some of the stations he listened to: at age 16, WEOS-FM, a brief stint after graduation at WGVA, and a total of 17 years at WSFW in Seneca falls.  2025 marks 44 years being on the air and a quarter century at FLX local media.  Jim enjoys  making music, accumulating music gear and antique tube radios while reflecting on how he's managed to avoid a career all this time.

Sorah

Sorah joined forces with Jim on Halloween 2022. Previously on afternoon and Saturday morning radio, she’s been bringing her energy to the Mix airwaves for years- her 2 kids have practically grown up in the Mix studios! When not on air, this sci fi loving, video game playing Theater Mom can be found visiting places across the Finger Lakes during one of her family's favorite weekend activities: "Let's just drive in one direction for awhile."

When she’s not busy bringing the latest viral trends to Jim’s attention (whether he wants them or not), she enjoys blending their shared geeky interests with a healthy dose of playful banter. Tune in for a fun mix of everyday stories, relatable parenting moments, and the latest news from across the Finger Lakes!
