Dundee: William James Larmouth, age 92, of Dundee, NY, formerly of Wyoming, PA, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, in the comfort of his apartment in St. Mark's Terrace in Dundee, NY. Friends are invited to call from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. today, Tuesday (Nov. 12) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 13) in Pittston Cemetery, in Pittston, PA.
William was born December 8, 1920, in Wyoming, PA, the son of the late Price Albert and Myrtle Runyan Larmouth. He graduated from Wyoming High School and from Bucknell Junior College. On September 2, 1941, in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, he married the former Margaret Dixon, who passed away on Nov. 1, 1984. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1945 during World War II. A retired carpenter for St. Jude's School in Mt. Top, Pennsylvania, he had also worked for F.E.M.A. in Wilkes Barre, PA, retiring Sept. 20, 1990.
Mr. Larmouth was a member of Carverton Methodist Church and the American Legion in Pennsylvania. He is loved and will be dearly missed by his only son, W. David and his wife Lois (nee) Joseph Larmouth of Dundee, NY; 2 grandchildren, W. Bartholomew "Bart" Larmouth and Megan (Uriah) Dean; a sister-in-law, Margaret Spare Dixon of Forty Fort, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
