Dundee: William H. "Bill" Haesche, age 78, of Dundee, NY, died Friday, September 5, 2014, at home in the comfort of his wife's arms. Honoring his wishes, there are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday (Sept. 21) at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Geneva, 3535 Number Nine Rd., Geneva, NY, with Pastor Tim Bailey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates County Hospice Assoc., 756 Pre-Emption Rd., Geneva, NY 14456.

"Bill" was born November 3, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Hermann G. and Anna Gieschen Haesche. On April 10, 1955, in Honesdale, PA, he married the former Priscilla J. DeGroat. They have lived locally for 47 years, previously of Hawley, PA. A self-employed dairy farmer, he and his wife were the owners of Wilopris Farm in the town of Barrington, NY. Mr. Haesche was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Geneva, NY. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving Mennonites and surfing eBay for farm equipment.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 59 years, Priscilla J. Haesche, at home; 3 children: son Randy Haesche of Tampa, FL, daughter Sheri (Kary) VanAllen of Rome, GA, and son Jamie Haesche of Dundee; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother George H. Haesche of Groton, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by daughter Becky Gottshall of Valdosta, GA, in 2009.
