William E. Bertram

Mendon, NY March 2, 1934 – June 27, 2026 Age 92

William E. Bertram "Bill" of Mendon, NY passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Saturday, June 27. He was born in Hornell, NY to William S. Bertram and Opal Drew.

Bill graduated from Hornell High School. He worked at Delco in Rochester in a variety of positions for 37 years. Bill enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, square dancing, card games, and family get-togethers, was a man of strong faith, and was an enthusiastic fan of the NY Mets and Buffalo Bills.

Bill is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Evelyn Gay; his daughter Charmel Trinidad (John); their three grandchildren Julie DeStefano (Matthew), Michael Trinidad (Nadine), and Jason Trinidad (Natasha); his four great-grandchildren Aidan Trinidad, Althea Trinidad, Christian DeStefano, and Sebastian DeStefano; and nieces and nephews Dan Van Alstine, Ken Van Alstine, Bill Fenton, Lorraine Whalen, Christine Denton, Donna West, and Robert O'Keefe.

Friends may call at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, 59 Monroe St., Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 on Thursday, July 2, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 26 Mendon Ionia Road, Mendon, NY on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception in the church hall.
