Walter Arthur Flower

Dundee/Lakemont: Walter Arthur Flower, age 69, of Dundee, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2026. Walter was born April 9, 1957, in Hornell, NY, the son of the late Russell and Eleanor (Dake) Flower. He graduated from Hornell High School in 1976. He served in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1985. A farmer by passion, a truck driver by career, he spent most of his life behind the wheel of big rigs, hauling whatever needed to be moved anywhere in the country. He worked for numerous employers including local companies of Boudinot Construction and Kelly Farms. He logged countless miles employed by Freymiller Inc., of Oklahoma City, OK. On February 18, 2023, in Florida, he married the former Barbara L. Terwilliger Jennings.

Walt was a proud member of the Farmall – IH Tractor Club and enjoyed driving tractors in the Dundee Memorial Day Parade. A true friend, Walt was always willing to lend a hand to help his fellow man.

He is survived by his wife Barbara L. Flower at home; a son Cody Flower; a sister Lorie (Doug) Dills; a nephew Jett Dills; a niece Lexi (Brandon) Crow, all of Venice, FL. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Kriesa Jane Flower, and the mother of his children, Kimberly Anne Butler-Flower.

There are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, with Rev. Wayne Butler officiating. After the service, everyone is invited back to the family home for an informal reception to celebrate Walter's life.
