Dundee/Cortland: Virginia E. Razy, age 90, of Cortland, formerly of Dundee, NY, died Thursday, December 20, 2012, at Crown Center of Cortland. Honoring her wishes, there are no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday (Dec. 28) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, with Lay Pastor Lew Ann Giles officiating. Inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Memorial contributions may be made to Dundee Fire Company, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837.

Virginia was born October 10, 1922, in Dundee, NY, the daughter of the late Leo and Florence Storms Crans. She graduated from Dundee Central School in 1940. On Oct. 10, 1941, in Dundee, NY, she married the love of her life, John R. Razy. Together they raised two sons, Richard J. and Alan L. Razy.

"Ginny" was employed by Giles Family Stores of Dundee in the Dairy Dept. and as a cashier, retiring after 35 years in 1984. She was a former member of the Dundee Baptist Church, the Rebekah Lodge, the Dundee V.F.W. Ladies Aux., and the Dundee American Legion Ladies Aux.

Predeceased by her son Alan L. Razy on Sept. 12, 1994; her son Richard J. Razy on July 20, 2007; and her husband John R. Razy after 66 years of marriage on Dec. 27, 2007; 1 brother and 3 sisters; she suffered her share of heartache. She was loved to the end and will be missed by her daughter-in-law Janet Razy and her husband John Bray of Cortland, daughter-in-law Gale Razy of Dundee, 3 granddaughters Kathy L. (Lloyd) Hatfield of Cortland, Annette L. (Gary) Rieser of Cayuta, NY, Shelley (Mark) Cunningham of Dundee, 2 grandsons Kevin R. (Shelley) Razy of Lee Center, NY, and Douglas G. Wright of TX, 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Gerry (June) Crans and Robert (Mary) Crans, both of Dundee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
