Vernon Donald ("Wormy") Leubner
Vernon D. "Wormy" Leubner, age 73, of Dryden, New York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, Cortland, NY.
Born July 19, 1946, in Auburn, NY, he was the son of the late Donald "Beaver" and Betty I. Hotchkiss Leubner. Vernon was a "Jack of All Trades"; he was an Animal Control Officer, a Gunsmith, a Finish Carpenter, a High Performance Motor Mechanic, and was the Maintenance Manager for Little Creek Mobile Home Park in Dryden.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Jennifer Pittman Leubner, at home; his children, Vanessa, Vicky and Joel Leubner, Nicole (Anthony) Stevens, Liza Charles, V. Russell (Amber) Leubner, and Justin (Haley) Leubner; stepchildren, Jason (Amanda) Foster, Jessica (Joseph) Burnette, and Joshua (Tina) Foster; siblings, Lucy M. (Bill) Heffernan, Gale Andrews, Helen Peck, Anna (Carl) Smith, and D. Basil Leubner; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; longtime friend, Arnold "Sonny" Prince; and other loving family members and friends. In addition, he was predeceased by stepdaughter, Jennilee.
Friends may call from 1-2 PM, Friday, November 22, 2019, followed by a memorial service at 2 PM at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY, with Rev. Roland Ryan officiating. Private burial will be in McLean Cemetery, McLean, NY.
