Shirley B. West

Odessa, NY July 15, 1934 – June 6, 2026 Age 91

Shirley Bell West, 91, of Odessa, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at home.

She was born in the Town of Dix on July 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Barnes) Parlett. Shirley worked as a vine dresser at Barber Vineyards in Hector for many years. She enjoyed crochet and collected salt and pepper shakers.

She was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Mervin West; son, Mark West; and grandsons, Travis West and Jacob West.

Shirley is survived by her son, Mike (Jessica) West; daughters, Barbara (Bob) Burleigh and Diane Smith; brother, Ed (Ruth) Parlett; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and caregivers that came in to help Shirley. A Celebration of Life will be held privately by the family.
