Sharon Lynn Carroll
Webster, NY: Sharon Lynn Carroll passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at her home. She quietly slipped away; the Lord received her soul that set her earthly body free of pain and suffering. Sharon was born on Tuesday, April 22, 1958, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange, CA. Over time, she traveled to Wilmington, NC, where she met and married JJ Carroll. Together, they had one daughter, Amanda.
After high school, while still living in California, Sharon's favorite job and what she enjoyed most was sewing and making sales for Hobie Cat in Costa Mesa, CA. After moving to NC, Sharon had many jobs. The most memorable jobs were sewing curtains at Dorothy's Curtains and working in the administration department for the Star Newspaper. Sharon's favorite pastimes were to go to the NC beaches, working with her indoor and outdoor plants, crafting, making jewelry, cross stitch, her sewing, and caring for her beloved pet 'Hallie'. Sharon's family will cherish her memory through the jewelry she made and the cross-stitched photos she left for them.
Sharon is survived by her daughter Amanda (Jerimey) Sykes; two grandchildren, Natalee and Garrison Sykes, all of Bladenboro, NC; mother Shirley (Pat) Patteson of Fairport, NY; father Bob Hunden of Garden Valley, CA; two sisters, Tammy (Nick) Ballinger of Citrus Springs, FL, and Jill Reynolds of Erlanger, KY; brother Matt (Liz) Patteson of Farmington, NY; nephews and nieces, Jacob (Juanita) Ballinger, Robert (Cassy) Ballinger, Sandra (KB) Kongsomboon, Curtis Reynolds, and Wyatt Patteson; great nieces and nephew, Whitney, Ethan, Cora, and Gwen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from CA to FL and all the states in between!
