Dundee: Sarah Louise Reed, age 83, of Dundee, in the town of Tyrone, NY, died Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y. Honoring the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory would be graciously received.

Sarah was born September 3, 1928, in Norwalk, CT, the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Elizabeth Osborn Green. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed crochet, knitting, baking, cooking, babysitting, working her farm, and an occasional word search puzzle. She is loved and will be dearly missed by 3 sons: Ehman D. Reed, Charles "Chuck" Reed, and Lucas M. Reed, all at home; 2 daughters: Elizabeth Howland of Geneva, and Alta M. (Robert) Bassett of Dundee; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son, Benjamin Reed, in 1949.
