Rosalee Anne (Lawton) Bloss

Rosalee Anne (Lawton) Bloss, daughter of Lloyd and Alice Lawton, born May 23, 1946, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 22, 2026.

Rosie enjoyed spending her days doing sudoku puzzles, preparing home-cooked meals, and taking daily rides with her beloved husband, Chuck, and their dogs. Those rides often included stopping at a local pizza shop, where Rosie and Chuck would each enjoy a slice while happily sharing the rest with their furry companions. These quiet traditions and simple moments together were what Rosie and Chuck enjoyed most.

Throughout her career, Rosalee worked as an administrative assistant for several companies. However, she found that she preferred being at home and retired at the age of 55 to enjoy just that.

Rosie shared a loving bond with her husband, Chuck Bloss, a decorated Marine veteran who proudly served our country for over two decades. Chuck passed away in September of 2025, and life was never quite the same for Rosie these past nine months. Unfortunately, she faced a hard battle with Lewy Body Dementia, a fight that ultimately could not be won.

Rosalee leaves behind her children: Julie Searle (Christine), Jay Searle (Kate), Joanna Searle-Doupe (William), and Jennie Searle (Ralph). She also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Teri Herrmann, whom she adored.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kaylie Searle, Jayson Doupe, Kevin Doupe (Emily), Rebecca Searle, and Keith Searle; Kate Herrmann and Nick Herrmann; and great-grandchildren Ayden, Lillian, Paityn, and Olivia Doupe.

Rosie was one of 13 children, born 3rd to last. She leaves behind one remaining sister, Lori Rienhardt (Rick).

Rosie will be remembered for her love of simple routines, her devotion to Chuck and their pets, and the life they built together.
