Ronald R. McCool
Savannah: Age 70, passed away on August 13th at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic. Born December 8, 1943, in Sigel, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Leona McCool.
Ron is survived by his children Timothy (Christina) McCool of Branford, CT, Kimberly (Timothy) Wolverton of Romulus, and Melissa McCool of Savannah; grandchildren Ethan and Liam Wolverton; sister Erma Stahlman of Columbus, OH; sisters-in-law Lucille (Melvin) Stickles of Clyde, and Nancy (Charles) Decker of Montezuma; nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors Sherry and William Redder, and Phyllis and Ken Stuerwald.
Ron was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Janet B. McCool, who died in 2008, his parents, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Ron had been employed at Sylvania in Seneca Falls, TRW in Union Springs, and for the last 16 years at Emcom Inc in Auburn. He had just recently retired and enjoyed working with his wonderful friends at Emcom. An avid outdoorsman, Ron enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, woodworking, tending to his vegetable gardens, returning to his childhood home in Sigel, PA, camping, and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19th, from 4-6 p.m. at the Savannah Family of God Church, 13165 East Church Street in Savannah, where Ron's Funeral Service will immediately follow.
