Renee M Dominick

Auburn, NY June 9, 1952 – June 29, 2026 Age 74

Renee Dominick, 74, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 9, 1952, in Auburn, NY, Renee was the daughter of Richard and Ann Parker and younger sister of Richard Parker. Renee graduated from Mount Carmel High School before earning her teaching degree and master's from the State University College at Cortland. She dedicated over 30 years to teaching Reading and French to sixth and seventh grade students at Port Byron Central School. Teaching was one of Renee's greatest gifts, but her curiosity extended far beyond the classroom. She had a lifelong passion for history and was a true history buff, always eager to learn new fascinating facts.

After retiring, Renee embraced every opportunity to travel and explore new places. While she enjoyed discovering new destinations, her heart always brought her back to two favorites: Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, and Cape May, New Jersey, where she created treasured memories with family.

Renee had a remarkable gift for making every holiday and family gathering unforgettable. Whether she was creating place cards with jokes and riddles, organizing scavenger hunts, or planning games that brought everyone together, she filled every celebration with laughter, love, and lasting memories. She cherished spending time with her garage sale buddies and selling on eBay and garage sale websites.

She was immensely proud of her children, Christopher Dominick and Natalie Gorman, and found great joy in watching them build their own families. But nothing brought Renee greater happiness than being "Grandma" to her four beloved grandchildren: Parker Dominick, affectionately known as her "Lamb Chop"; Gia Parker, her "Gia Pia"; Chase Gorman, her "Honey Bear"; and Hayley Gorman, her "Rosebud." They were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Renee will be remembered for her kindness, quick wit, love of learning, unwavering devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love, traditions, and countless memories will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ann Parker. She is survived by her husband, Roger Dominick; her children, Christopher Dominick and Natalie Gorman; her four adored grandchildren, Parker, Gia, Chase, and Hayley; her brother, Richard Parker; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Services will be held privately for the family. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of CNY and Finger Lakes. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Renee M. Dominick, please visit our floral store.
