Phyllis L. (Spurr) Loquasto
February 17, 1937 – July 5, 2026

Waterloo: Phyllis Loquasto, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 5, 2026, with her daughter Terri and son-in-law David by her side.

Phyllis was born on February 17, 1937, the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Phillipina B. (Engert) Spurr. She graduated from Wayne Central School and went on to attend Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. She later enjoyed a long career at Xerox in Webster, where she worked for more than 30 years.

One of Phyllis’s greatest joys was spending time at her cottage in Henderson. While there, she loved swimming, fishing, and—true to her spirited nature—picking up “junk” and selling it. The cottage was her happy place, full of simple pleasures and good memories.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Terri (David) Teneyck and Tammy (Jeff) Brewer; her son, Lewis Loquasto; grandchildren Chandra, Jonathan, Julianna, Angelina, Trista, PJ, Marissa, Nick, and Lindsay; great grandchild Ashten; and several other great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her son, Albert, in 2015, and her granddaughter, Chelsea, in 2012.
