Paula M. Prosser

Savannah, NY May 27, 1926 – July 26, 2015 Age 89

Savannah: Passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2015, at age 89. Born in Savannah, she was the daughter of William and Hulda Cool. Following her graduation from Leavenworth High School in 1944, she began working as a telephone operator in Sodus and Newark. On January 10th, 1947, she married Kenneth Prosser and began working at Seneca Knitting Mill in Seneca Falls. Paula retired on August 31st, 1990.

She was a member of the former First Church of Christ, now the Lighthouse Community Fellowship Church on Route 89 in South Butler. She taught Sunday School and served as treasurer for many years. Paula was a 60-year member of the Clyde Grange. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and her dog.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth "Betty" Cotten, niece and nephew Clara and Steven Cotten, nephews Dale, Mark, and Noel Castonguay, and other extended family members. Paula was predeceased by her husband Kenneth L. Prosser in 2010.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. from the Lighthouse Community Fellowship Church on Rt 89. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with interment immediately following at Crusoe Cemetery.
