Pamela M. Brady
On June 30, Pamela M. Brady passed away peacefully at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family.
Pamela was born on October 10, 1957, in Rochester, NY, to Eugene and Elizabeth Brady. Raised on Maple Avenue in Victor, NY, she attended Victor Central School and graduated in 1975. As an adult, she lived in Victor but ultimately became a longtime resident of Owasco, NY, and she treasured life on Owasco Lake.
Pamela was proud of her career as a trust officer, working in Rochester, Syracuse, and Ithaca for more than 20 years. She devoted herself to her family, marrying Jeffrey Keller on New Year’s Eve 1997, and raising their two daughters, Elizabeth Clarisse and Emily Rose. Later, she served as the office manager at Brookside Lumber for 11 years before retiring.
Throughout life, Pamela indulged in many hobbies and passions. Coming from a family of antique dealers, she developed a lifelong love of antiques. However, her true specialty was decoys. She enjoyed following the work of renowned carvers, and she cherished the time she spent carving her own decoys beside her father.
As an avid bird lover, she took ornithology classes at Cornell and loved spending time on her porch seeing what was perched in the nearby trees, or pulling out binoculars to see the birds along the lake. She was always on the lookout for the eagle that nested nearby, and spotting it would be the highlight of her day. She also had a true green thumb, lovingly caring for her many orchids, and one of her favorite spring traditions was visiting Dickman's to choose flowers for her planters and gardens. Each year, she’d gather with the neighbors to celebrate the annual one-night-only blooming of her Queen of the Night cactus, a highlight of the summer.
Pamela’s favorite place was by the lake. She loved being on the water and spending warm summer days on her porch, tending to her flowers with her beloved pug, Barbie, by her side. More than anything, she cherished gathering with family and friends, sharing conversation, laughter, and a glass of wine.
Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Keller, daughters Elizabeth Clarisse (Andrew) Cosachov and Emily Rose Keller, as well as two stepdaughters, Nicole Keller and Shannon (Douglas) Caton with their three children. She is predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Elizabeth (VanCaeseele) Brady, as well as her brother Paul Brady.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to please instead make donations to either Breakthrough T1D or the Audubon Society, both organizations she cared deeply for. There will be no services, but a celebration of life at a later date.
