Norman A. Black
Norman A. Black, 73, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024, at FF Thompson Hospital surrounded by friends and family.
Norman was born January 1, 1951, in Savannah, the son of the late Milton D. and Eugenia M. (Ball) Black. Norman graduated from Savannah High School in 1969. A week later, he started working for Goulds Pumps in Seneca Falls as a maintenance engineer until 2012. He enjoyed many things but loved dirt racing, and he sponsored the M1 car.
He is survived by his son, Brian D. Black; sister, Erica Baldwin; brothers, Milton and William Black; niece, Jackie (Ted) Fitch; and great niece and nephew, Kyle "big dog" (Allie DeSousa) and "My Pal" Abigail Fitch; close friends, Nancy Stowel, Johnny Markowski, and Tami Felker-Romano. There are many more friends and family.
Besides his parents, Norman is preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Laird, and his brother, Robert Snyder.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Norman's life on Saturday, April 20th, at the Savannah Fire Hall, 1770 NY Route 89, Savannah, NY, from noon until 4:00 p.m.
