Nancy B. Voorheis, age 83, of Burdett, passed away June 1, 2022.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St, Watkins Glen on Wednesday, June 8, from 12 PM to 2 PM; followed by a funeral service at 2 PM at the funeral home; burial at Hector Union Cemetery.

Nancy was born on May 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Irene (Knapp) Bush. Nancy graduated from Watkins Glen High School in 1957 as Class Salutatorian. She was a lifelong member of the Reynoldsville United Methodist Church. She was also a member and secretary of the Ladies Wednesday Afternoon Club in Burdett, Reynoldsville Community Club, and Reynoldsville United Methodist Women's group. She retired from Cornell University.

She is survived by her husband Keith T. Voorheis, and celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 26. Nancy was predeceased by their son, Keith L. Voorheis. She is also survived by her daughter Gen (James) Switzer of Candor; seven grandchildren, Christopher Switzer, Cindy (Josh) Briggs, Courtney Switzer, Clifford (Danielle) Switzer, Taylor Voorheis, Keith (Abi) Voorheis, and Jessica Voorheis; sister Carolyn (Charles) Voorheis of Burdett, and Doris (of the late Arvine) Pike of Burdett; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
