Nancy Jane Munro

Syracuse, NY February 22, 1941 – July 10, 2026 Age 85

Nancy Jane Munro, born Nancy Jane Johanson in Ithaca, NY, on February 22, 1941, to Hilma and Willard Johanson, succumbed to various health issues on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Nancy is survived by her siblings, Harold and Jeannie, and her children, Judith and Stan. Nancy spent the majority of her later years in evangelism and ministry to those less fortunate, usually in Syracuse. She sometimes traveled at a whim and may have ministered in other parts of the country. She was known to evangelize by wearing art clothing inspired by God and God's word.

This special warrior will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Spencer, NY, this Monday, July 20, at 1 PM. But indeed, she is already with her God and Lord Jesus Christ. Today, if you will hear him, don't harden your heart but say yes to Jesus as Lord and Savior, the only offering for sin, and the way will open for you too. Saying: Yes, Jesus, I accept the offer of your sacrifice for my sin.
