Mike was born in Auburn, NY, the son of the late Joseph Doyle and Matilda (Sawchuck) Doyle. He spent his early childhood in Romulus, NY, and graduated from Mynderse Academy, Class of 1967. Mike went on to further his education at Auburn Community College before pursuing a career in construction equipment sales. Mike always spoke proudly of the several jobs he held throughout his younger years, as they provided the knowledge and life experience he utilized to help him with what would become his life's career. His successful business career included being Owner and President of George and Swede Sales and Service, Owner of Doyle Helicopter, LLC, and Co-Owner of 7 Springs Gravel. In addition, Mike spent many years buying and selling classic cars, commercial real estate, and anything else that would keep him busy. When Mike was not working, he enjoyed boating, traveling, the occasional round of golf, and was always the life of the party.
Much of his adult life was spent in Batavia, NY, and Fort Myers Beach, FL, where he could often be found surrounded by close friends. His final stop on his life journey was in Simpsonville, SC, where he spent the last year surrounded by his daughter, Megan, and her family. His grandchildren will fondly remember him for his sense of humor, love of ice cream, and legendary tales.
Mike is survived by his only daughter, Megan (Doyle) Schwarze, and her husband, Andrew Schwarze, who was more than a son-in-law, but also a faithful friend; three grandchildren, Liam, Laila, and Lake Schwarze; two grand-dogs, Jones and Dray; and sister, Margaret (Doyle) Beck. He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law, John Beck, and several close friends and relatives. The family takes comfort knowing that there was a crowd of his favorite people waiting to cheer him on as he entered the gates of Heaven.
