Mary (Jessup) Oakes Bausch

Pittsford – Mary (Jessup) Oakes Bausch, age 98, formerly of Brighton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Dr. G. Robert Bausch; three grandchildren, Dylan Caldwell, Devin (Amy) Caldwell, and Ashley Caldwell (Brian Long); great-granddaughter, Brook Caldwell; brother, John (Bonnie) Jessup; sister, Jane (Judd) Hammele; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Henry “Mike” Oakes, in 1977; and daughter, Marianne Caldwell, in 1999.

Mary was born in Rochester and was the daughter of Ralph and Anna (Schnurr) Jessup. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at numerous hospitals, including the Canandaigua VA Medical Center, Genesee Hospital, and Strong Memorial Hospital. She also volunteered at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She was a people person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Canandaigua.
