Mark W. Repper
Mark W. Repper, 73, of Groton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Cortland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health.
Mark was born on February 14, 1953, in Cortland, a son of the late William V. and Sara (Coggshall) Repper. He was a lifelong Groton resident, graduating from Groton Central School with the Class of 1971.
Mark enjoyed 36 years working in the maintenance field at Cornell University, following several years of employment with Smith Corona Marchant (SCM). He dedicated many years to bee-keeping, a family pursuit cultivated by his late grandfather, B.B. "Brown" Coggshall. Mark also loved bowling, golfing, and hunting. Mark's greatest accomplishment in life was being the best Pop Pop to his grandchildren. If you knew Mark, you loved him!
He is survived by his daughter, Elise Repper, of Groton, and his grandchildren, Gabriella and Amir. He is also survived by his siblings: Norma Kalk, of Ithaca, Roxanne Brown, of Berkshire, and David Repper, of Port Orange, FL; nephew, Mike Simmons (April); nieces, Allison Simmons, Kimberly McCall (Sean), and Amanda Rudd; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Aiden, Blake & Trevor Simmons, Kayla, Mason, & Maxwell Rudd, and Meredeth McCall.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, May 8, at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton. A graveside interment service will immediately follow the calling hour at Groton Rural Cemetery.
