Margaret Ann Doran, 71, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Geneva General Hospital.

Born November 16, 1953, in Waterloo, Margaret was the daughter of the late Thomas F. Doran Sr. and Margaret Susan (Moses) Doran. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from Waterloo High School. Following graduation, she proudly served in the United States Navy from January 25, 1974, to January 24, 1978, as a member of the Communications Corps, earning the rank of E3. After completing her military service, Margaret worked for many years with the Social Security Administration in Geneva, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism, and kindness. She had a deep love for animals and found joy in gardening, tending to her plants with the same care she showed to those around her.

Margaret is survived by her life partner, Steve Weber; her brother, Thomas F. Doran Jr.; sister-in-law, Kathryn Doran; niece, Casey (Jason) Heatherly; great-nephew, Aidan Heatherly; and her first cousin, Bernie (Pat) Doran.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by several beloved relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s Church, 48 Pultney Street, Geneva, NY. Full military honors will follow the service at the church. Burial will be private.

Margaret will be remembered for her service to her country, her devotion to family, and her gentle, compassionate spirit.
