Marcia Irene Smith

WATERLOO - Marcia Irene Smith, 87, of Waterloo, NY, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, at Pathway Home, in Seneca Falls, NY, with her loving daughter by her side.

In keeping with Marcia's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

Marcia was born March 25, 1939, in S. Russell, NY, the daughter of Joseph H. Smith and Irene A. Taylor Smith.

She obtained employment as a bookkeeper/secretary with Saga Food Service, Eisenhower College, Seneca Falls, NY, along with other various Finger Lakes businesses over the years.

Marcia was a gifted artist throughout her life, starting as a child. She started her training in West Germany, studying with a professional artist in a small class setting. Returning stateside, she enrolled in a correspondence course with Famous Artists School. Marcia participated in many exhibits and classes at Wilhelmina's Art Gallery in Seneca Falls, NY, as well as several local arts and crafts festivals. Art was her life's passion. A sweet, gentle lady with a creative flair.

She is survived by her children, Lonnie (Mary) Keenly of Waterloo, NY, Richard P. Keenly of Seneca Falls, NY, and Shari L. Keenly (boyfriend, Patrick Mott) of Cayuga, NY; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; six brothers and three sisters; daughter-in-law Renee Keenly; and her former husband, Richard L. Keenly.
