Manfred Lichti

St. Louis, NY April 16, 1950 – July 25, 2026 Age 76

Manfred, 76, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at his home.

He was born in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Germany, to the late Gustav and Gerda Lichti. A carpenter by trade, he also possessed a remarkable talent for computers—an uncommon pairing that reflected his curiosity, creativity, and forward‑thinking nature.

In the early 1970s, Manfred established Lichti Inc. in St. Louis, a company dedicated to helping others design and produce websites long before web development became commonplace. His work was innovative, generous in spirit, and ahead of its time. He also played a role in instituting meter‑reading technology for the electric company in St. Louis, further demonstrating his ability to bridge hands‑on skill with emerging technology.

Whether working with his hands, exploring new ideas, or enjoying time with those he loved, Manfred approached life with quiet dedication and a generous heart.

Manfred is survived by his loving wife, Amy M. (Burkovich) Lichti; his sister, Geisla (Sekawan) Hutomo; his sister‑in‑law, Anneliese; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerhard.
