Lorraine N. (Dyson) Homrighouse

Lorraine N. (Dyson) Homrighouse, 86, passed peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls and Waterloo.

Lorraine was born in Seneca Falls, daughter of the late Thomas and Bernice (Allen) Dyson. She grew up in Seneca Falls and was united in marriage with the late Francis "Frank" Homrighouse. Primarily a homemaker, Lorraine enjoyed tending to her home and caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her excellence in the kitchen. She adored her granddaughter, Heather, with whom she loved spending time.

Before Frank passed in 2021, he and Lorraine frequented local diners and restaurants, where they enjoyed having breakfast and socializing with their friends. Lorraine was also a person of strong faith. She was a devoted member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Geneva for many years, and more recently, in Waterloo.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, Scott of Seneca Falls and Chuck of Saratoga Springs, and granddaughter Heather Homrighouse of Tampa, FL. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Thomas, and Mickey Dyson, and sister Joan (Dyson) Butler.

On Wednesday, June 24th, family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, with her memorial service immediately following, both at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St. in Seneca Falls. Donations in her memory may be directed to a charity of choice.
